====== Summary ======
I'll sort this out eventually.  I'm in the research phase at this point.  The goals are two-phased:

APRS on 2m as a community service:
  * 2m igate base station possibly with digipeater capability
  * tall high-gain 2m omni for good listening (Diamond products looks good for this)
  * listening more important than transmitting - might just use a cheap handheld or older used 2m transceiver (or maybe even just a scanner?)
  * Very minimal computer - possibly a RasberryPi or other small embedded product

APRS on HF:
  * 10m listening post for GPS position updates from sailboat
  * Tie this into the same host serving APRS on 2m?
